Established in 1978
Started in 1971 in Taiwan, SFT Corporation began manufacturing hydraulic products for automotive and consumer markets and became a market leader. Offices were established in Kansas City, MO, USA in 1978.

For nearly 50 years, SFA Companies has become the leading distributor of hydraulic lift equipment in the US and Canada, which reflects a widely recognized reputation for quality and service.

Engineering and quality
In addition to distribution, SFA plays a key role in engineering, research and product design to help our manufacturing facilities meet our market needs. Our OEM private-label customers, with their strict requirements, are a vital part of this effort. Our lifting products and winches are manufactured in the Shinn Fu Group's ISO 9000 factories, so we provide quality products that meet industry standards such as ASME/ANSI. The Shinn Fu Group has been granted many US patents for its unique product designs. Thanks to the factories' capabilities, we give our customers competitively priced products without sacrificing quality and design features.
Visit us
SFA is located approximately one mile east of Kansas City International Airport. The facility has 100,000 square feet of warehouse, testing facilities, offices and product showrooms. Please contact us in advance if you would like a tour or more information about our products.
Our history
- 1978 — Shinn Fu Company of America, Inc. established in Kansas City, MO
- 1980 — Office in Seattle, WA opened for sporting goods
- 1985 — Seattle office merged with the Kansas City office
- 1990 — Moved to our current location at 10939 North Pomona Avenue, Kansas City, MO
- 1993 — Expanded the Kansas City facilities to over 100,000 square feet to meet growing customer demand
- 1997 — Omega Lift Equipment launched
- 1998 — “Magic Lift” and “Speedy Lift” technology patented
- 1999 — “EZ” Lift technology patented
- 2001 — Began doing business as SFA Companies
- 2003 — Purchased Marquette Lifting and Porto-Power Collision Repair Equipment
- 2004 — Hein-Werner Automotive introduced, formerly the Marquette and Lincoln Automotive lines of professional lifting equipment; Porto-Power Collision Repair Equipment re-launched; BVA program launched into the industrial market
- 2008 — Attained ISO 9001:2008 certification; construction began to expand office and warehouse space in Kansas City
- 2009 — New SFA building and showroom completed
